“We now have a very strong entrepreneurial spirit and attitude in the Nordics. Together with good ideas, that’s exactly what we should embrace even more,” stated Marcus Wallenberg at Slush Small Talks in Stockholm. For Slush, the event marked a meaningful milestone, as it was our first ever official Slush event held in Sweden.
Slush Small Talks in Stockholm brought 300 attendees from the local startup community together to discuss the current state of tech in an old bomb shelter. Slush Small Talks in Stockholm aimed to further deepen the local collaboration among Nordic growth companies and connect them with Nordic corporations. The event also aimed to discuss best practices for collaboration and how to manage cultural clashes and different expectation. We also had the pleasure to have Prince Daniel join us for an evening of good discussion between the smaller and bigger players of the ecosystem.
A wide variety of speakers took the stage at Small Talks, amongst them such names as Marcus Wallenberg, Chairman at SEB, Hjalmar Winbladh, Partner at EQT Ventures and Mats Agervi, CEO at Combient sharing their personal success stories in navigating in the startup scene. Jacob De Geer, Founder, and CEO of iZettle talked about his entrepreneurial path and Jessica Schultz, Partner at Northzone together with the event’s moderator Ulf Skarin from Veckans Affärer, wrapped up the Small Talk session with a fireside chat about today’s hottest tech trends.
